 Indian almond leaves are considered some of the most vital components of betta.Indian almond leaves for betta fin rot are not a myth. They can cure any disease present in a betta, whether it is fin rotting, constipation, white spots, or anything else.

Although, maintaining an aquarium and looking out for fish is the owner's job. Which includes feeding them on time, providing them with a suitable environment, playing with them, calling them by their name, and adding decoration to their aquarium.

l   It can be harmful, especially for those fish who want hard water and a higher pH level.

When to use it?

There is no specific reason to use these leaves, and there is no time. One can use the moment they bought a fish or anytime in their life. Just like humans, we love or adore luxury, and if we ever get that luxury, no matter how, sooner or later, we will cherish it.

The same is the case with betta; Indian almond leaves are their luxury because their breathing pattern and water identities change. Also, if you notice or believe your fish is sick, you should have these leaves in the water.

They have beneficial characteristics for a betta fish; one is curing sickness. Also, these leaves can be used as their food source. If the owner forgets to give them their diet, they can eat these leaves and consider this as their food pellets.

Preparing leaves

Preparing Indian almond leaves for the aquarium is a tricky part. Many people think they can buy these leaves and place them in the aquarium, but this is dangerous for a betta. You need to do a couple of steps to ensure that leaves are cleaned and suitable for the aquarium. Such as:

l   Start with small and single pieces. Only drop a chunk of leaves at

l   a time. 

l   Extract them gently by their roots.

l   Keep them clean.

l   Boil them first and ensure they are dried before being placed in the water.
